“To a mind that is still, the whole Universe surrenders.” – Lao Tzu
What Is Raja Yoga and Third Eye?

The spiritual path of Raja Yoga deals directly with the “third eye” of the human being, ajna chakra. The word “raja” means “royal” in the Sanskrit language, thus this is the “Royal Yoga.” The name refers to the fact that the mind represents the highest level of consciousness in the human being. By studying the mind and learning to control it, we are led to the supreme goal of all spiritual practice: enlightenment, or union with the Divine Absolute….
In Raja Yoga, the mind is studied and the yogi learns to control its modifications, mental currents, and thoughts. Through special meditations and specific Yoga practices (involving Hatha Yoga for opening the third eye, use of special mantras and yantras, use of symbols and other esoteric knowledge and methods), the yogi opens his third eye – gaining insight, mental control, lucidity, and great mental power – and eventually spiritual realization is achieved.
Raja Yoga says that the mind can be your worst enemy or your best friend, bringing misery or leading to bliss and enlightenment. The only factor that matters is the level of control over the mind… or lack of control. In Raja Yoga, control over the mind becomes a science and an elevated art.
If you stop to think for a moment, human beings perceive reality through the faculty of the mind. Whatever activity we undertake or experience we share, our mind is the mechanism of interpretation that we use. Therefore, isn't it wise and logical to improve and control this important faculty in ourselves? Raja Yoga answers: Not only is it important and wise, it is the key to full self-realization and a fast, efficient way to reach spiritual success and life fulfillment.
What Are Third Eye Retreats?

Bhairava’s Third Eye meditation retreats are an opportunity for all spiritual seekers to discover the path of spiritual realization through the agency of the third eye of the human being, Ajna chakra.
In these retreats, we bring students the unique teachings of Raja Yoga, presenting various methods for opening and activating the third eye. We begin with Hatha Yoga techniques for ajna chakra and continue with special meditation techniques such as Jangama Dhyana, Taraka Yoga, advanced Shambhavi Mudra, Tantric Vipassana for the third eye, and much more.
In these “third eye retreats,” the energy is extremely powerful. Participants usually feel an opening of their third eye in a way never experienced before, as well as an understanding of ajna chakra which becomes accessible and within reach for the first time.
The teachings given during Levels 1 and 2 of the Raja Yoga Weekend Meditation Retreats constitute an unforgettable experience. Many participants gain a new and exciting path of practice and development that includes the understanding of the workings of the human mind, the mysteries of the mind's functions, and the various ways to gain real and powerful control over it. The study of the various levels of samadhi and Patanjali's Yoga Sutras bring a real revelation for all participants.
The mind is the organ of the human being through which we experience reality. It processes every experience, sensation, and mental process we have during our entire lives. It can be said that the mind is the real key to our interaction with reality and the only real tool for spiritual progress and self-realization.
